I have seen couples who have been through unsuccessful IVF with poor quality sperm, who had been advised that he had 'SuperSperm'.

 

I have seen couples who have been through unsuccessful IVF after being advised that they could ignore signs of poor sperm health as their IVF clinic said 'we can pick a good one in the lab'.

I have seen men who have been told their only option was IVF on the basis of a poor semen analysis, with no advice given to them about how to investigate and improve sperm health (and poor sperm health will mean a lower chance of success).
